Terms of service

Simple terms for a reliable service.

Last updated: October 19, 2026. These terms explain how Hoplon Chatbot may be used and what each side is responsible for.

01Who we are

Hoplon Chatbot is a software service operated by Hoplon & Co (“Hoplon”, “we”). These terms apply to every business that creates an account (“subscriber”, “you”) and to anyone using the Hoplon dashboard on a subscriber’s behalf.

02Your account

You must give accurate business details, keep passwords secret and tell us promptly about any unauthorised access. You are responsible for the team members you invite and for what happens in your workspace.

03Plans, trials and payment

Each plan has limits on websites, conversations, AI requests and other usage shown on the Plan & billing page. Trials end on the date shown in your account. Invoices are payable by the method and by the date stated on the invoice. If a plan or trial ends without renewal, the chatbot is paused and the account is marked past due until payment is received; your data is kept according to the retention rules below.

04Acceptable use

You may not use Hoplon to send spam, collect data unlawfully, impersonate others, distribute malware, process payment-card or authentication secrets in chat, or break any law. We may suspend an account that puts other customers, visitors or the service at risk, and will tell you why when we can.

05Your content and AI answers

You own the knowledge, scripts, documents and conversations in your workspace and give us permission to process them only to run the service for you. AI answers are generated from your approved content and may still contain mistakes; you are responsible for reviewing what your chatbot says and for keeping your content accurate. In banking mode, replies come only from scripts and documents you approve.

06Visitors on your website

When you install the chatbot, you are responsible for telling your website visitors that a chatbot is used and how their data is handled, for example in your own privacy notice. Hoplon processes visitor data on your instructions as described in our Privacy Policy.

07Availability and changes

We work to keep Hoplon available and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features; if a change significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, we will give reasonable notice.

08Liability

To the extent the law allows, Hoplon is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

09Ending the service

You can stop using Hoplon at any time and download a JSON export of your workspace from Privacy & retention first. We may end the service for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. After an account ends, its data is deleted according to the retention schedule.

10Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Hoplon & Co is registered.
